The ways in which the Chesapeake Energy Corporation contributes to the community it calls home are endless and appreciated, but the energy giant’s latest move is one for which they deserve BIG kudos!
In what’s being touted as the “Largest Single Gift Ever Received by the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma,” Chesapeake has expressed that they’re serious about helping improve the great city we live in.
“After learning the latest statistics about Oklahoma’s hunger gap, Chesapeake felt compelled to do more,” said Martha Burger, Sr. Vice President – Human & Corporate Resources at Chesapeake. “Our company has a proud history of supporting the Regional Food Bank – from employees volunteering to pack boxes to hosting fundraising campaigns on our campus. However, today’s need is so great that it required an increased level of support to help fight hunger in our communities.”
