At the head of any great organization, business, corporation, town, city or state, you can expect to find someone great steering the ship and, while I appreciate his humility in this article, Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett is more-than-deserving of the accolades he recently received as Second Best Mayor in the World.
“It’s more embarrassing than anything else to the extent that the award seems to be about one person,” Cornett said. “I think it’s an acknowledgment of Oklahoma City’s progression. The citizens should feel good about it.”
In explaining why Cornett placed second and won a World Mayor Commendation for services to his city, the group credited Cornett for the city’s recent economic success.
I’d say that, topping the U.S. and being one of only two U.S. Mayors who even made the list, Mayor Cornett is in a league of his own, and we appreciate his hard word and dedication to the city of Oklahoma City!
