Small Business Saturday is TODAY! What does that mean? It simply means that while you’re out shopping today, please give careful consideration to where you spend your money and try hard to spend it in your locally-owned stores, restaurants, etc.
Even the local Chambers of Commerce are on board with this movement to help support our local business owners. Here’s why:
The Edmond Chamber recognizes the importance of small businesses in Edmond, the jobs they create and the culture they instill in local communities. Small businesses have generated 64 percent of net new jobs over the past 15 years and employ just over half of all private sector employees, according to the Small Business Administration.
Please join us in supporting Edmond’s small businesses and shop at local independent stores on Saturday, November 26, 2011.
